Gwen sighed peacefully as the sky began to lighten ever so slightly. She shifted her weight, getting comfortable on the large boulder at the edge of the forbidden forest. She had never before gone out to see the sunrise. She had seen many sunsets but sunrises had always appeare much to optimistic for her sensibilities. But there she was just the same, sighing as she watched the sunrse for the first time.

Brayden was going for his normal morning run when he saw blonde hair by the forbidden forest. Getting closer, he notices it was Gwenillan. "Why hello Gwen, what are you doing up this early?" He jogs in place for a little chat.

Gwen smiled sleepily up at the proffesor. "I wanted to watch the sun rise this morning. It felt like it was something I should do." she trailed off. She brushed her unkempt hair out of her face. " What about you. Are you always up when it's still dark out?"

He slows himself down into basically shifting back and forth, "Hardly ever sleep, but yes normally I'm running in the dark and eariler morning."

Gwen nodded slowly. Her head felt so heavy, she would be useless in classes today but the sky was a little lighter now and seeing it was worth the lost sleep. There were worse things to lose sleep over. She looked back up at Brayden who had seemed to slow down. "Do you want to watch with me? It's kind've my first time." She laughed quietly. "But I understand if you don't want to stop your run."

Brayden laughed lightly, "If you don't think I'm imposing I will join you." He fittles with the two potions in his pocket. They were both a small bottle of what muggles would think are energy shots, but stronger and less crash. He uncorks one and downs it.

Gwen smiled again and slid to one side of the boulder. "Not at all." she replied drowsiliy. She hummed quietly to herself and watched as the sky lightened. She could almost make out a faint yellow glow at the very edge of the morning sky.

Brayden notices how sleep Gwen is and holds out the other potion, "Drink this, it's just a basic energy potion. Nothing you shouldn't take and everything you need." He looks back out sky to watch the sun come up.

Gwen takes the small bottle in her hands and regards it skeptically. "Whatever you say." She clumsily uncorked the stopper and swallowed the potion. "Woah." she coughed. "That was a litte more than I expected." She fidgited with her feet and cracked her fingers restlessly. " Do you like seeing the sun rise every morning or does it start to bore you?"

Brayden laughs at how quickly Gwen becomes fidgity. "Every morning is different, some mornings the sun shines brighter, some mornings it's still as dark as night. You never know what to expect. I think that's why I run in the morning, and not at night."

"Oh." Gwenllian smiled broadly as the sun began to peek slowly out from behind the earth. She was tired and hyper and happy. Brayden knew the reason for the first two and she decided, how ever poor her judgement may have been, to clue him in on the reason for the third. "I did something yesterday. Something a little reckless, a little emotional. I though you might like to know your advice is being heeded. At least a little."

Brayden laughs, not taking his eyes off the sunrise, "I'm glad you decided to listen to me, even if it's just a little. I tend to know what I'm talking about."

Gwen laughed and whacked him lightly on the shoulder."Don't go getting a big head. We'll never be able to get you back inside." Gwen tilted her head back in thought. "You are very self assured for somebody so young. After all your only six years older than me."

Brayden rubbed his arm as if to act like it hurt, "Hurt me physically and emotionally, ouch." He laughs, "Some people have to be self assuring because they know it's the only thing to keep them happy, I have always been like this."

David walked out of the forest wiping the sweat off of his forehead. That was the last time he took that path. As he emerged into the faint light of early morning he caught sight of Gwen and Brayden laughing. He jogged over to see what was going on. "Hey guys." He was careful not to pay undue attention to Gwenllian lest the slytherin head get any ideas about their secret. Gwen warned him to be particularly careful around the professor. Apparently he knew her family but that wasn't a surprise most pure-blood families were familiar with each other.
