Gwenllian made herself comfortable in one of the plush chairs that could be found in the back of the library. She had unconsciously chosen a seat that could not be seen form the entrance. She grabbed a book from the only shelf within arm's reach. It was a novel, nothing of interest, not that it mattered she wasn't going to read it. Gwen open the slim book on her lap and pretended to read while she let her thoughts run rampant. "Allie's potion, house loyalty, family obligation, friendship with gryffindors (at least they were pureblood), the Leander boy." She pulled out her wand, it was of Leander make, as were all the wands of wealth in her part of the country. Bloodwood with a chimera scale core and elegant scroll work along it's entirety. It was longer and thinner than most Olivander wands and she cherished it. It was rare, it was powerful, it was expensive, it was perfect and she delighted in the luxury of such an extravagant item. She looked back fondly on the day her father had taken her to purchase it, it was one of her last memories of the man and she missed him dearly. Emotion overtook her as it often did, a fatal flaw if there ever was one and a single tear fell from each of her closed eyes. Left to roll perfectly down her cheeks with to handkerchief to wipe them away.

Allie went to take her normal seat but sees it is taken by a tearing Gwen. "Hey Gwen, you ok?" Allie sits down next her and notices her wand is out. "That was is small, like mine." Alie pulls out her very little wand.

Raven walks into the Library. She walks over to Gwen and Allie and slams her Potions books on the table. "ARRRGGGHHH!" she screams. "Im gonna kill that mud blood if its the last thing I effin do." she shouts. She grabs her nail file and dark purplr polish out of her bag and turns her attention to her nails. After her nails had dried she got out her sketch book and began to draw her sister. "Allie stay still. Im trying to draw you in Manga." she moaned.

Allie shifts her eyes from Gwen to Raven to tell her that she wasn't really in the mood but she will do it. "What happened."

David walked casually and quietly into the library to look for a decent book on Quidditch, hopefully one with some photos of the Holyhead Harpies. As he made his way through the stacks he caught sight of a gaggle of slytherin girls. Allie, her sister, and Gwenllian. Everything looked normal Raven was ticked, Allie seemed bored and, Gwen was crying? Why couldn't that girl hold it together. BooHooing was certainly not going to get her any attention from him. David's resolve melted faster than ice on a hot sidewalk, after all maybe she needed him. He cautiously stepped close to where she was sitting and wiped the tears from her cheeks with the sleeves of his robes. "Lighten up Blondie there's no crying in the library." he looked down at her hands and what was in them "now that is a finely crafted wand, may I?" he swiftly relieved Gwen of her wand before her reply. David was eager to impress. The wand warmed under his fingers, it was without a doubt a Leander wand. "Lovely, 14 1/2 inches long, slim, bloodwood, and with a chimera scale core. Very powerful remind me to never give you cause to hex me. Oh and would you just look at this intricate scroll work if you don't mind me asking who produced such a marvelous object." David smirked at her knowing what her answer would be. He spared a moment to glance at the spooky sisters he grinned shakily then returned his gaze to Gwen, his confident smirk intact.

Gwen let out a quiet, gurgle of a laugh as David rubbed his sleeves across her cheeks. "Surely you recognize it Mister Leander it was crafted by your family and yes it is quite loverly isn't it." She took the prized possession back and pocketed it quickly, she noticed it was warmer than usual. "you don't need to worry about me hexing you, if you ever did anything to hurt me by retribution would be much to harsh for simple magic to accomplish." She gazed seriously at him for a while until another gurgle of laughter overcame her. Even though she laughed she was sincere in her warning. She wasn't helpless, she just wasn't independent, not yet, but if she kept her emotions in check she would be soon.

Allie felt a strange disappointment when David was flirting with Gwen... She excused herself from the book and went to the quidditch books. She was slightly frustrated with that boy.

Gwen watched Allie get up and walk away with a hint of hurt on her face. Gwen felt a strong pang of guilt, but, she told herself I don't have anything to be guilty about, for one thing I haven't done anything and even if she did why should she be sorry for it. Not that she could mind you. If she wanted to manage her own money and her own life she couldn't marry or even really date until she was seventeen or else that guy would inherit what should be hers and she would just be trading one collar for another. Not to mention he was a gryffindor if her uncle heard of anything he would have her institutionalized.Gwen shuddered at the thought. She wanted to be powerful and independent and she wouldn't do anything to put her chance at that dream in jeopardy.

David quickly repossessed the chair Allie had emptied a moment before and leaned in towards Gwenllian a bit closer than he thought she would be comfortable with. "It's good for me then, that I would never hurt you." He conjured as much sincerity as he could muster, he could feel her uncertainty possibly even rejection of him.

Allie felt herself becoming more ice cold as she stayed in ear shot of the conversation. "Hey Gwen, I'm going to go to the pit for a bit of practice. If you wanna work on some Quidditch come and find me." Allie dropped a book on the table and walked out of the library, forgetting all of her things behind.

Gwen nodded solemnly "I doubt you could if you tried." I would never let you she added silently. She noticed both other girls walk away each leaving possessions behind. Whether it was carelessness or something else she did not know nor did she really care. She stared at David, it wasn't fair it wasn't even reasonable that she had to keep herself on such a tight leash just to maintain the hope of any control over her own life.; She considered for a moment what it would be like to give in to her impulses, would it truly be so terrible to be ruled by yet another wizard? The answer was yes love could never be worth the loss of he free will. He was so close, she kissed him gently and quickly with her eyes closed. "I'm sorry, I have to go." She stood suddenly gathered all of her things and turned to leave.

David eyes widened in shock as Gwenllian kissed him. It was nice but much to short. He frowned as she made as if to leave and he grabbed her arm. "No please don't go you've got nothing to be sorry for." He pulled her back, unto his lap and he kissed her back. His kiss was harsher, more insistent.

Gwen pulled away and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. "I wasn't apologizing to you." She stood form her rather compromised position. How glad she was that no one was there to witness her latest folly. "I can't do this, it's not my place not to mention Allie would murder me and then Riley would never speak to me again. I was apologizing to myself. For all the damage I might have done for a moment." She sighed and scooped up her own and her friends belongings. "This sorry is for you." she brushed her lips gently against his forehead then turned and ran out of the library heading for the common room.

Allie was about to head back into the library to get a book, she shouldn't have left without saying goodbye, "Gwen what's wrong?" She saw Gwen running out.
