David quietly slipped into the back of the library with a huge smile on his face. He strode cockily with his hands in the pockets of his robes and sat in an armchair to wait for Gwen. He a ran a hand nervously through his just washed hair and ran his tongue over his just brushed teeth. He grabbed a book off a nearby shelf and flipped the pages idly so he wouldn't look so eager to see her. But he was excited to meet her for the first time since their decision under the rose bush. What would it be like to have a secret girlfriend? He wondered as he waited.

Gwenllian walked cautiously towards the rear of the library where David would be waiting for her. Or at least she hoped he would have come as she had asked him to in the note she gave him in the gardens. Her doubt fell away when she saw him reading a book in one of the armchairs. She glanced around to make sure no one was watching before she planted a kiss on his cheek. "Hey loverboy." She smiled brightly and sat next to him. That should be enough to distract him from, she checked the title of his book 'The Fashion Conscious Withes Guide to Herbology'. She arched an eyebrow and took the book out of his hands turning the cover to his face. "Good read?"

David touched the spot on his cheek she had kissed and grinned at his girl sheepishly. "Yes actually, fascinating stuff. The were some knitting patterns for the most adorable gardening gloves." He kissed her on the mouth. She was just cute with her barely visible eyebrow raised. "Hey Miss Blondie."

Gwen giggled quietly so as not to attract the shushings of the librarian. She let him kiss her and there was a smile on her face when he pulled away. She slipped her pale hand into his. "I was thinking we could try and sneak into the restricted section. It would be fitting don't you think? To be where we shouldn't be when we shouldn't be anywhere together at all?" She grinned mischeviously at David.

David's eyebrows shot up in surprise "The restricted section?." He pretended to consider it carefully but of course he would do whatever she wanted. "Well aren't you the rebel now. Taking your secret gryffindor boyfriend into the restricted section." He kissed her again. "And on a first date too." He smiled and stood keeping her hand in his own. "Lead the way Blondie."

Gwen grinned though she could feel the panic building in her chest. It what so stupid what she was doing. It was much to likely that they would be caught with no reasonable explanation other than the truth. And the truth would if not ruin her at the very least make her life quite unpleasant for a long while. She stood quickly and glanced around for anyone watching before swiftly leading David into the restricted section. Their footsteps were muffled by the dust that had accumulated in the rarely used area of the library. She reached up and brought their foreheads together. "I'm a wild child aren't I." She muffled her laughter by pressing her mouth against his. She turned away and let her eyes roam over the shelves of musty books. One caught her eye. It was a deep blue with some sort of iridescent hide used to cover the spine and a complicated symbol embossed on the front. She wiped away some of the dust and grime that had accumulated over the years sitting unopened on a shelf. The symbol resembled a celtic knot and she noticed it seemed to be writhing.
