CANON LIST?

so this just occured to me that a lot of people loves using surnames from the book. eg: potter, black, weasley, malfoy. and this kinda annoyed me since it cause an uncontrollable amount of blacks, potters, etc. so just an idea, maybe we should have a canon list to control that. it won't be like real canon, since it's more like a list of offsprings. yes? no?

Well, it's post potter with no canon relations. So we won't have any Potters or Blacks, people must learn to be creative.

I vote no cannon list. It would absolutely be better without potters, blacks, weasleys, etc.

I agree, I mean... We could maybe have a time turner type board or something but the whole site would be a bad idea, at least for me, I don't want to have to find a bunch of people(that may or may not work out) for characters that are completely needed for the plot, sounds like a huge headache plus, it's been done.
Haha, not that post-potter hasn't but, I am trying to make this one... very special.

i'm actually referring to an offspring list.
since the epilogue in the last book mentioned how they had kids.
but if the rules stated no canon surnames and it's an original characters only,
yeah, i see that the canon list is completely unnecessary :]

I agree, even an offspring list would be difficult to manage. Unless you get someone truly committed, they would most likely dissolve as characters and then replacing them would just be a huge headache.
