David paced briskly through the gardens in frustration. He spoke aloud to himself confident that no one else could hear or not caring if they did. "I just don't get it, how am I the bad guy here? I can't be expected to express an emotion I don't feel. I mean I tried to let her down easy but it never took did it and even after being just about as cruel as I can imagine I'm still not sure she gets it. " He kicked at an obnoxiously cheerful looking flower. "Not to mention I've always been clear about loving her friend. Loved her from the moment she knocked me to the floor in the great hall.." he smiled at the memory and calmed slightly. " I never asked Allie to like me how can she fault me for not liking her, and how in the world can anyone be surprised if a teenage boy lacks tact." He stopped and stared into a rose bush, slowly he reached out for one of the bright red blooms only to be stuck with a thorn. Blood welled from his small wound and he laughed darkly. "What an apt metaphor." He stuck the bleeding finger in his mouth and continued to ponder his difficult situation.

Gwen sprawled out under the bushes in the garden. It was shady and smelled like roses and lilac. She breathed deeply and smiled as she tucked a white rose behind her ear. She tensed as angry footsteps penetrated the quiet afternoon. She heard a deep voice, David talk to himself about...her. She tried to hold still and keep her breathing as quiet as she could manage. He would surely think she was eaves dropping if she revealed herself now. She could feel the heat rising in her cheeks. He loved her?

Allie watches David pace for a bit before deciding that now would be the best time to tell him, before she told anyone else. He was talking to himself, she knew it was because of her stupid feelings. Taking a few deep breaths Allie walks up to him, "David, I need my stone back. It won't do me any good if you still have it." She holds out her hand.

David glanced up as Allie approached but quickly averted his gaze. He had had enough looking at her, if she insisted on irking him he didn't have to watch her do it. "Yeah, sure." He reached into his pocket and listlessly flicked to stone at her. Freshly agitated he started to pace again only to turn around and face Allie again. His face was calm, masking the quiet rage that consumed him. Though he was angry he spoke quietly. "You know the difference, between you and Gwenllian I mean, it was never looks, never appeal. It's in how you approach your lives. You want to be saved and don't you deny it the proof is right in your hand." He gestured at the stone. "You think you need a knight in shining armor but you don't require that you desire it just like every other girl. Every other girl that is except Gwen. She wants to save herself. Any assistance you might give her would only make that victory a failure in her eyes. You know just as well as I do that if a knight came to rescue her he best be just as wary of that girl as the dragon guarding her. My question to you is...who is going to save you now." He looked at her eyes to see if anything he had said got through to her or if he had merely wasted breath yet again.

Gwen listened in awe. That someone could hold her in such a high regard, that they could admire one of her most ornery qualities, it was unthinkable, unimaginable, and nice. She beamed and it was a struggle to keep still with her heart racing. She found herself starting to, bu no, she couldn't. Her future depended on her abstaining from such a connection. It depended on her ability to lock away the part of herself that felt and throw away the key. If she ever forgot that everything she had worked for would be lost.

Allie let no emotion show on her face, she knew exactly what he was talking about. She was stupid for letting herself care enough to give him Evan's stone. The stone started to burn her skin again, Allie wasn't allowed to touch it bare skin otherwise it could take all her powers away. In a quick motion she stuffs it in her pocket, Allie finally looks away from David. "I understand exactly what you are saying. I felt like maybe I could bring myself to care for someone and I did.. I wanted someone to save me like my grandmother wanted as well, but I know now that I'm suppose to save myself like she did for herself. I asked for my stone back not because I stopped caring for you, but the fact is I'm leaving Hogwarts and I don't know if I will be returning." She looks back into his eyes, "I wanted the thing that means the most to me, but I know that I'm leaving them behind in Hogwarts. Thank you David, for putting me into my spot and showing that I am just like my grandmother, wanting someone to save her yet never getting it." Allie half turns away before turning back, "I'm going to Azkaban, people in the ministry want to kill everyone who has to deal with Voldemort and I am planning on turning myself in." She smiles lightly, "Thanks for letting me know that's where I belong." Allie turns away completely to head back into Hogwarts to go say goodbye to Gwen, Riley, Raven, William and Brayden.

David groaned with exasperation "Just exactly how thick is that pretty little head of yours Allie? It was never me you cared for it was the idea of me wasn't it? And this, what you are doing right now, don't you dare tell yourself it is anything but giving up. You are giving up on your identity which as you have not hesitated to point out in the past, it separate form your father. I understand that you may be hurting right now but becoming a martyr for your own cause won't make anything better. In my experience dead girls don't care how noble people think her death was. Besides what is martyrdom besides a tantrum disguised as responsibility." He crushed the bloom in his hand while he waited in silence for her reply. In the sudden silence he heard quiet breathing from a white rose bush. He looked at it in the corner of his eye and saw a flash of light hair. He would deal with Gwen in a moment, now he needed to make sure Allie realized what she was doing.
((ooc: bye I guess...may I inquire as to why you have decided to leave?))

She stopped right in her tracks as David speaks to her, "I know what I am doing David, I'm not stupid. This isn't a tantrum, it's what is suppose to happen!" She turns slowly. "I did care for you, you never understood how my heart felt, you ignorent little-" Allie unclenched her hands, "I cared for how you made my heart feel, the cared for the look I could get when we were alone. I DID CARE!" her eyes shot red again. Taking a few deep breaths, Allie shakes her head " I'm not giving up."
((Occ: I'm sick of Raven and how people talk sometimes. Hardly anyone is posting and I feel like at times I hardly have anything to do on here.... I might just put her away for awhile and have her come back in the new fourm. Evey will tell me when the site is up and I can make my decision))

"How would you know." He growled after her "How would you know what's supposed to happen when you're just a silly girl filled to the brim with melodrama." He gestured wildly with his arms. "If this isn't giving up than what do you call running to the ministry for assisted suicide?"

She turns around and walks straight up to him, "Why does it matter to you David? What do you care what i do?" She pushs him back, "I call it fate, see this!" She holds her scared up hand up to his face, "The life line is broke! Do you understand what that means?"

David sneered "It means you're so superstitious for your own or anyone elses good and I call it tragic that even now you're going to ask someone else to end it for you. And all the while you say you're saving yourself well rescue yourself form fate." He looks down at her face. "I care because by pulling this stunt your last act will be to throw your sorrow between two people who never did you wrong. If you die now you die bitter." His breathing was heavy.

Allie pushed him, "STUNT! YOU CALL THIS A STUNT!" She screams at him. "I am not bitter or Superstitious. Divination is a practice of magic, you should know that! Who are those two people, you and Gwen?" She was hurt he thought that she was doing this because of him.

David loomed over her scorn apparant on his face. "How dare you strike me and how crude of you to raise your voice. I expected better even from a defeatist." He turned his back to her. "You might as well leave, you refuse to be reasoned with and as such I wash my hand of you and whatever you may do."

She places her hand on his shoulder, calming her voice. "You make me that way, I never wish to be but you frustrated me in ways I have never been frustrated before. Please understand, I'm doing this for the right reason, not as a stunt or anything stupid. I have been thinking of this for a while. David please look at me." Allie's voice was cracking, she was about to cry.

He pulled away from her touch, it made his skin crawl."God Allie, stop insisting that I be your villan and take responsability for your own actions. What are the reasons other than now you never have to beat that darkness inside of you. How is any teenage girl qualified to make that kind of decision. No, you know what, I don't care anymore just go. I refuse to be your bad guy." He didn't turn to face her. How could he look such foolishness in the face especially when it was naming him as it's cause.
